Oral & Poster Competitions

Everything you need to know about presenting, printing your poster, and the prizes on offer.

Oral Presentations

  • If you have been informed by the committee of your acceptance to present an oral presentation, you will receive a personal email with further information. If unsuccessful, you will not be contacted.
  • Oral presentations will be judged by a panel consisting of consultants.
  • Candidates will be informed of the winning presentation on the Sunday of the conference.

Poster Presentations

  • If your poster has been accepted, you will receive a personal email with further information.
  • It is the author's responsibility to print their own poster and bring it to the venue on the day of the event.
  • Please display your poster on the correct poster board with appropriate fixings.
  • Posters should be A1 format, font size 20–24, in Arial/Calibri font.

Prizes

  • There are 6 prizes in total — 3 for oral presentations and 3 for poster submissions.
  • You will receive a certificate as well as a gift (details on Sunday during the prize giving ceremony).
  • Prizes take into account factors such as innovation, clinical impact, clinical relevance, content, delivery and novelty.

Printing Options

  • Delegates can access a discounted rate of £12 through Mike Clark Printing (Llanelli). To use this service, email info@mcprinting.co.uk with the subject line "DRAIG 2026 Poster Printing", addressed to David. (Mike Clark Printing is based in Llanelli.)
  • Printing may also be available through your local Medical Photography departments.
  • Alternatively, you are welcome to use external printing companies of your choice.

Poster Format Guidance

  • Size: A1
  • Orientation: Portrait
  • Format: Single-sided
  • Font: size 20–24 in Arial/Calibri

Content Requirements

  • Posters must be presented in English or Welsh.
  • The poster title (as per your abstract) must be clearly displayed.
  • All authors should be listed beneath the title in the correct order.
  • Any patient photographs must be fully anonymised and accompanied by appropriate consent.
  • There is no strict limit to the number of graphs, tables or sections; however, content should be clearly structured and not overcrowded.

Logistics & Evidence — Important

  • Posters must be brought to the conference between 8:00am and 8:30am on Saturday, 20 June 2026.
  • All successful submissions will be emailed a certificate.
  • Prize and poster competition winners will receive a certificate via email following the conference.
